
The Monastery of San Pedro de Arlanza, located in the picturesque town of Hortiguela, Spain, is a magnificent monument of religious architecture. Built in the 12th century, this impressive building has remained almost unchanged since then, and its Romanesque facade and Gothic tower stand out significantly in the landscape. It is famous for its perfectly proportioned cloister, whose columns support vaulted ceilings which are richly decorated with sculptural elements. Inside the main hall, a beautiful altarpiece of the Virgin of Pilar can be seen. The Monastery also features a curious chapel from the 17th century, dedicated to the Visitation.
