It features a 2,517 feet (767 m) mountain peak that is part of the Diablo Range, as well as rolling hills, colorful wildflowers, and grasslands. Mission Peak has several different trails that wind their way through the park, including the popular 6-mile (10 km) Peak Trail which takes you to the summit. Other trails provide access to the Industrial Wastelands Overlook, and Staging Areas around the mountain. The park also contains numerous historical sites, including an old ranch house, an abandoned cemetery and several stone walls. The park is open to hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians and is free of charge.
