Mirante do Parque Tanguá is the elevated lookout in Tanguá Park, on Curitiba’s northern edge. Created on former quarry land, the park turns an excavated landscape into a composition of cliffs, water and gardens. The lookout’s warm-toned pavilion stands above the rock face, overlooking the lower lake, while a waterfall descends from the upper level. Formal garden beds, fountains and reflecting pools give the upper terrace a geometric order that contrasts with the exposed stone and wooded slopes. Views from the lookout reveal the quarry’s depth; from beside the lower lake, the pavilion and waterfall form the park’s recognizable cliff-top scene.
