Millennium Monument is a majestic structure in Budapest, Hungary. It is situated on the south side of Heroes' Square, a spacious square surrounded by trees and beautiful gardens. The Monument consists of seven spectacular bronze of kings, spanning a total of 40 meters, each one placed on a spiral-shaped bronze column. It was built in 1896 to commemorate the 1000th anniversary of the foundation of the Hungarian State, and the seven columns represent the seven historical states that formed it. The Monument has become a symbol of Hungarian identity. Most of the column sides are decorated with reliefs, bearing the names of 145 Hungarian figures and members of the historic royal house. The environment of the Monument is tranquil and gripping, the perfect spot to admire the beautiful city skyline. It is one of the most photographed places in Budapest, a must-see when visiting the city.
