Milford Sound is a fiord located in the South Island of New Zealand. It is renowned as one of the highlights of the region and is a stunning example of nature's beauty. As one of the most stunning features of the fiord are its majestic waterfalls, which plunge hundreds of metres down the precipitous cliffs. The most famous of these falls is Lady Bowen Falls, which has been estimated to drop 580 metres. Milford Sound offers plenty of opportunities to explore its beauty with boat tours, guided kayaking and scenic flights. It is also possible to go hiking and take in some of the incredible sights. With lush rainforest, cascading waterfalls, sheer rock walls and rich marine ecosystems, Milford Sound is one of the highlights of New Zealand and shouldn't be missed.
