The Metro Station Stadion is an underground station of the Stockholm Metro in Östermalm, an inner-city Stockholm borough. It is located between the stations Gärdet and Karlaplan on the green line, and serves as an important interchange with the Roslagsbanan for commuters from the north-eastern suburbs of Stockholm. Stadion Station is also within easy walking distance from the vibrant cultural center of Östermalm, a busy shopping center, and the beautiful Mariatorget Park. Stadion Station is beautifully designed and modern, but still echoes with the classic looking brick of the first metro line in Sweden. The station is also the closest station to the iconic Stockholm Olympic Stadium, which is a short walk away and provides a great view of the city.
