The Meridian Gate of the Forbidden City is located in Xi Cheng Qu district of Beijing, China, and serves as the south entrance to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is situated in front of a large plaza and features five grand sections. It features numerous structures, including the grand gates, a massive facade, four watch towers and an ornamental terrace. Walking beneath the impressive red and golden eaves and ornate balconies of the main royal entrance, visitors are sure to be enchanted by the impressive architecture. Although it is not open to the public, taking photos of the beautiful entrance and its surroundings is a great way to explore and admire the beauty of this majestic landmark.
