McWay Falls
📍 From Viewpoint, United States
McWay Falls is located in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, in the Big Sur region of California, United States. The falls are 80 ft (24 m) tall and flow from McWay Creek into the Pacific Ocean. It is one of the few waterways in California that goes directly from land to the ocean. The area is incredibly beautiful and features rocky cliffs, sandstone walls, and lush green foliage. There is a viewing platform at the top where visitors can experience the breath-taking view of the white-sloped falls, crisp blue ocean, and purple rocks. While the surrounding park is open year-round, the beach can only be visited from April-October. Dogs are not allowed on the trails and beach.
