Mausoleo del General José de San Martín is a memorial located in Plaza San Martín of the Retiro neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is constructed out of Greek marble and Italian Fenis, and serves as a tribute to the hero of the independence of Argentina, Chile and Peru, General José de San Martín. Inside there is a sculpture of the general, made of bronze and surrounded by busts of admirers. The Crypt of the Soldier is located in a lower chamber and is a tribute to all fallen soldiers of the nation. This memorial is a must-see for any tourist in Buenos Aires and a great way to learn about its history.
