📍 From Inside, Singapore
Masjid Sultan, or Sultan Mosque, is located in the Kampong Glam district of Singapore, and is one of the most iconic and photogenic mosques in the country. Built in 1824, it has a striking Moorish-style architecture with a star-shaped plan, five domes, and an dazzling golden facade, which is especially essential during sunset, when the mosque changes its color. Its minarets are 40 meters high and the walls are decorated with colorful tiles and marble. The interior is decorated with religious quotes and lit up by purple chandeliers and crystal lamps, creating a wonderful atmosphere for visitors. There is also a museum, situated in a lobby area, where tourists are welcomed and information about the mosque and its history is provided. Nowadays, Masjid Sultan is not only an important religious center, but also popular among tourist and photographers looking for photo opportunities.
