Marina Towers is one of the most iconic structures in Chicago's famous skyline. A pair of dwellings, constructed in 1964, each 410-ft-tall tower is set back 100 feet from the lakeshore. Designed by the legendary architects Bertrand Goldberg and George Schipporeit, the towers are a popular place for taking pictures of the city, with panoramic views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline from the top. The curvaceous twin buildings, show an example of the modern mid-century architecture. Each tower houses 486 rental apartments, with a variety of floor plans and amenities, and no two units alike. While you're there, check out the Aldo Rossi roof sculptures, which are a stunning addition and worth seeing.
