Mantua (Mantova in Italian) is a city in the Lombardy region of northern Italy. Located on the Mincio River, it is famous for its UNESCO-listed monuments, museums, and palaces. The historic centre is surrounded by a ring of 14th century walls and is home to several popular sights, such as the Palazzo Ducale, Piazza Sordello, Rotonda di San Lorenzo, and Santa Barbara Church.
