Manarola is a small fishing village located in the Italian region of Liguria. It is a part of the Cinque Terre National Park, constructed in 1999 by UNESCO in recognition of the villages’ unparalleled beauty and historical significance. The village is perched on the edge of ruggedly steep terrain, making it a stark contrast to its neighbouring settlements. Manarola is known for its charming harbour, boasting colourful houses with vibrant bougainvillea, winding pathways and luscious green vineyards. It is home to numerous restaurants, souvenir shops and bars along the promenade. The Church of San Lorenzo is nearby and worth visiting. From Manarola, tourists can take a beautiful seaside path which leads up to the neighbouring village of Riomaggiore. This picturesque picturesque route offers stunning views of the Mediterranean coastline. Transport within Manarola is mainly by foot but buses and boats are also available to other towns in the area.
