Mannheimer Hafen in Mannheim, Germany is a harbour in the Rhine River. A charming promenade stretches along the harbour, lined with old warehouses and intimate restaurants. At the north end lies the Altstadtviertel, a neighbourhood of restaurants, cafes, and bookstores. Outside the harbour walls lies the Wasserturm, one of Mannheim’s oldest landmarks. It is a giant water tower that serves as the city’s prominent landmark, visible for miles around. The harbour is a popular spot to watch boats come and go, with many different kinds from motorboats to sailboats. There is a friendly harbourmaster to greet visitors and take them on an educational boat tour. For a great view of the water, the town hall balcony has some of the best views of the harbour!
