Manneken Pis is a iconic statue located in the center of Brussels captivating locals and tourists alike. The small bronze statue is believed to have origins dating back to the early 1300s depicting a naked little boy urinating into a fountain’s basin. He is often dressed in numerous costumes throughout the year and during festivals, a unique experience for those curious enough to—discreetly—take a peek! Manneken Pis is found in the center of the Grand Place, at the corner of rue de l’Etuve and rue du Chêne, a location popular for its pubs, cafes, and restaurants. Take a stroll down the rue du Chêne lined with art galleries, boutiques, and old Dutch and Flemish-style buildings. Make sure to take a visit down the rue des Bouchers where you can get a sample of local cuisine and delicatessen amidst busy street life. Enjoy the buzz of Brussels and make sure you carve out enough time for a visit to Manneken Pis.
