
The Manhattan and Brooklyn Queens Expy is a four-lane expressway in Brooklyn Heights, United States. The highway begins at the Brooklyn Promenade and travels a 1.5-mile route through the area. It passes under the Manhattan Bridge and connects to the FDR Drive and Robert F. Kennedy Bridge. The highway was built in 1947 and is one of the main arteries of traffic into Brooklyn from Manhattan. It also serves as a direct route from the East River and Brooklyn Bridge to the Prospect Expressway and Gowanus Expressway and provides access to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. The highway has a wide variety of local attractions that can be accessed easily, such as the iconic Brooklyn Heights Promenade, Brooklyn Bridge Park and Brooklyn Heights landmarks. The Brooklyn Museum, Italy's Fort Hamilton and the New York Aquarium are also located just off the highway. Travelers and photographers alike may find plenty of unique sights and views along the highway, such as the Downtown Brooklyn skyline, the New York Harbor skyline, and a magnificent sunset over the New York skyline.
