The Mandovi Cable Stayed Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge across the Mandovi River in Panaji, on the western coast of India. It links Panaji to the nearby town of Ribandar. Built in 2001, it is the first of its kind in India. Spanning 935 metres and supported by pylon heights of up to 70 metres, this bridge is an imposing sight. The bridge has seven main spans (outer spans of 60 metres, inner spans of 45 metres) and two side spans (carriageway spans of 30 metres). The bridge was designed to withstand an earthquake of magnitude 8 on the Richter scale. With its spectacular views, a great spot to take pictures of the bridge is the nearby Miramar Beach. Find yourself a nice spot on its long stretch of sand and you can get great shots of the bridge.
