The Mackinac Bridge is a 5-mile bridge, stretching across the Straits of Mackinac. It connects the Lower Peninsula of Michigan to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is considered to be an iconic landmark of both Michigan and the United States, and is one of the longest suspension bridges in the world that connects two landmasses. This bridge is often considered one of the "engineering wonders of the modern world". Photographers and tourists visiting the bridge will enjoy the expansive views of the shorelines of Lake Huron and Lake Michigan provided by the bridge. The bridge is lit up in the evening and offers spectacular night views of the Straits of Mackinac. There are many pullouts and pebble beaches along the way, making it the perfect spot for a scenic drive across Michigan.
