Lungolago Porto Esterno is the waterfront beside Peschiera del Garda’s outer harbor, at the southern end of Lake Garda. Here the lake drains into the River Mincio, a geographical junction that helped give Peschiera its strategic importance as a fortified town. Canals and Venetian-era bastions define the historic center nearby, while the outer harbor opens toward the lake. Moored boats and upright masts create a patterned foreground against the broad water surface, with reflections adding a softer counterpart to their lines—a distinctly different scene from the enclosed waterways around the old town.
