Lower Yosemite Fall

Lower Yosemite Falls, located in Yosemite Valley in the United States, is one of Yosemite National Park's most breathtaking sights. The 739-foot cascade is the second tallest in the park and is situated to the southwest of Yosemite Village. Access to the lower falls is relatively simple via an easy 1.6-mile roundtrip trail that starts at the base of Yosemite Valley along the Merced River. During the warmer months, the mist from the falls can be felt on the third of a mile descent you take to the base of the falls. The thundering roar and mist make the walk a spectacular experience. During the spring, Lower Yosemite Falls is a force to be reckoned with as melting snow and winter precipitation fill the Merced River and create a powerful flow over the rocks.
