📍 From Liberty State Park, United States
Seen across the Hudson River from Jersey City, the Lower Manhattan waterfront is the western edge of New York’s historic financial district. One World Trade Center rises above the dense skyline, while the towers of Battery Park City form a lower band along the river. This is a view across both a state boundary and a working waterway, with ferries connecting New Jersey and Manhattan. Jersey City’s Hudson River Waterfront Walkway offers broad views of the skyline, giving the buildings a sense of scale against the open water. From this western vantage point, afternoon light illuminates Manhattan’s river-facing façades; after dark, windows and navigation lights create broken reflections on the tidal Hudson.
