
Lower Kolsai Lake is located in the Sary-Chelek Nature Reserve of Kurmeti, Kazakhstan. It is one of the three beautiful Kolsai Lakes, nestled among the rolling hills and rocky peaks. Of the three, Lower Kolsai Lake is the widest and deepest, forming part of the Kolsai River. Lower Kolsai is surrounded by changing flora and fauna, and with its crystal clear waters reflects bright shades of blue and green. The lake is a great attraction for hikers along the Tuyuk Valley, and a haven for birders and wildlife watchers alike. Enjoy walking around the lake for the picturesque views, spotting the various birds, wildflowers and the occasional marmot. Make sure to bring your camera and binoculars for stunning photos.
