Lourdes Chapel, located in Għajnsielem, is a small and beautiful Catholic chapel, dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes, built in 1865. Surrounded by greenery, it is located close to the main square of the town. It is a popular pilgrimage site for pilgrims, who come to the chapel to honour the memory of the Virgin Mary who, according to the gospel, took a bath in the nearby pool of Lourdes. The spectacular stained glass windows and the altar of the chapel are prized for their artistry and beauty. The location of the chapel also offers a good view of the Gozo-Comino Channel and the nearby island of Malta. Visitors are welcome to explore the grounds and admire the exceptional architecture.
