Los Angeles City Hall is one of the most iconic landmarks in the city. It stands at a height of 454 feet making it the tallest building in Los Angeles. It's easily recognizable for its white, terrazzo tile base and its gold dome at the top. The building has been featured in many films and was even declared a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument in 1976. Visitors can tour the building, which includes both indoor and outdoor spaces, and get a feel for its grandeur. The observation deck at 27th floor offers stunning views of the skyline, however, access to it is restricted. A visit to the rotunda and the City Council Chambers is highly recommended. There is also a gold-coin-clad City Hall Memorial Court located at the front of the building. This is where meetings, protests and other public events are held.
