Los Angeles City Hall, located in the heart of Los Angeles, is a monumental, stately structure that symbolizes the strength and diversity of America. Built in 1928 in a classic Beaux-Arts style and standing at 32 stories, it was the tallest building in the city at the time. Its iconic clock tower stretches into the sky, visible from nearly any part of the city. City Hall houses the office of the Mayor, and its interior features grand marble halls and intricate mosaic floors, as well as a sculpture garden. City Hall welcomes visitors for free guided tours. The lush lawns and fountains in its front offer a great respite from the hustle and bustle of the city.
