Lómagnúpur Mountain

Lómagnúpur Mountain is one of the most popular places to visit in Iceland, with its spectacular views and beautiful scenery. Located just outside of the small fishing village of Laugarvatn, the mountain stands at an impressive 1,162m high. Its summit gives visitors a stunning panoramic view of snow-covered mountain peaks, tranquil lakes and vast glaciers. Lómagnúpur is popular among hikers, who use the climbing path from Laugarvatn to make it to the top. Once atop, visitors will be rewarded with the stunning views across the Icelandic highlands. While hiking the path, one can see the unique terrain of rolling hills and farmland, lake views, and a view of the Icelandic coastal metropolis of Reykjavík.
