Nyord Lodsmuseum is a small pilotage museum in Nyord village, on the low-lying island north of Møn. It explores the maritime profession that shaped local life: Nyord’s pilots watched for passing vessels and guided them through the shoals and narrow channels of the surrounding waters. Nearby Møllestangen, the preserved pilot lookout at the edge of the settlement, gives this history a clear visual setting. Its modest structure, weathered materials and view across Nyord’s open meadows toward the water capture the contrast between the tiny community and the broad seascape its pilots had to read.
