📍 From Entrance, Slovenia
Ljubljana Cathedral is a striking example of Baroque architecture, located at the top of the old town in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Inside, visitors can admire the brilliant frescoes and the restored 18th-century paintings. The ornate main altar, impressive organ, and recent neo-Gothic alter all make the cathedral a sight to behold. Built in the early 18th century, the cathedral was designed by the Italian architect Andrea Pozzo, who also designed many other buildings in the city. During the Second World War, the building was badly damaged, but has since been fully restored. The cathedral stands out in its surroundings, and the nearby Franciscan church and the cloister garden offer great views of the cathedral from different angles. Visitors are welcome to explore the interior and admire the works of art and take a moment of quiet reflection in its peaceful atmosphere.
