The Liverpool Liver Building is an iconic example of the grandeur of Victorian architecture in Merseyside, United Kingdom. Built in 1911 as the head office of the Royal Liver Assurance Group, it was the tallest building in the United Kingdom outside of London at the time. The building was designed by Walter Aubrey Thomas, who employed a range of designs and decorations, with the two clock towers being the most impressive. They can be seen from miles away, and make a striking profile of the historic city. The building is now a Grade I listed building, and is a popular tourist attraction in Liverpool. Inside, visitors can enjoy a 360 view of the city from the 72-meter high clock towers, as well as a wealth of interesting facts about the building’s history. Additionally, the building is home to several shops and bars, making it a great place to visit for tourists and locals alike.
