The Lions Gate Bridge is a stunning landmark that connects the City of Vancouver to the North Shore municipalities in the Lower Mainland. The bridge, which was opened in 1938, is named for the two mountain peaks it passes between, "The Lions", and connects Stanley Park to the city's north shore. This graceful suspension bridge is one of the most iconic parts of Vancouver's skyline and provides breathtaking views of the city from the top. It is also a popular destination for travelers and photographers, who come to capture its beauty and magnificence. There is a pedestrian walkway which spans the full length of the bridge and provides an opportunity to get great shots of the bridge and the skies in an elevated perspective. On either side of the bridge you can find stunning sites including Lions Park and Stanley Park, so be sure to explore the area too!
