📍 From Bachelors Walk, Ireland
Liffey River is an important waterway running through Dublin, Ireland's capital city. It is the main feature of the city's River Liffey Basin, where it stretches for roughly six kilometers (3.7 miles) from its source at Poulaphouca near Blessington, County Wicklow to the Irish sea. Along its banks lies the city's North City Centre, a vibrant area that is rich with history and culture. Tourists often traverse the river by boat or foot, exploring the richly decorated bridges, churches, and government buildings which line the river. A popular activity is a boat tour, which provides sweeping views of the surrounding area, including many memorials and statues. From the water, travelers can also get a glimpse of some of the city's most famous landmarks, such as Dublin Castle and Parthenon. It is easy to spend an entire day enjoying Liffey river's calming atmosphere – making this a must-see for any Dublin visitor.
