Liebfrauenkirche

The Liebfrauenkirche and Parkplatz am Dom make up two of the most iconic landmarks in Halberstadt, Germany. The Liebfrauenkirche, also known as the Church of Our Lady, was built in 1250 and is the oldest Gothic church in Germany. The Parkplatz am Dom, or Cathedral Square, is located near the church and has been a popular meeting place for locals since the 11th century. The square is lined with quaint shops, cafes, and typical half-timbered buildings. Just a few steps away is the imposing Halberstadt Cathedral, which proudly stands atop a hill overlooking the town. This massive brick building, built in the late 13th century, offers a glimpse of history and its spire can be seen in the horizon.
