The Lewis and Clark Bridge, also known as the Second Street Bridge, is a cable-stayed bridge over the Ohio River that connects Jeffersonville, Indiana, United States to Louisville, Kentucky, United States. When it opened to traffic in December 29, 2016, it became the first cable-stayed bridge in Kentucky, the first crossing of the Ohio River between Indiana and Kentucky since the John F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge opened in 1963, and the only cable-stayed bridge in the United States with both a southern and northern cantilever. The bridge stretches 7,500 feet across the river, and offers stunning views of the downtown Louisville skyline including the Ohio River. It includes two towers that stand 134 feet tall, and it is illuminated at night by over 350 LED lighting fixtures. The bridge also features walking areas and plenty of spots to take in the view.
