Leuchtturm Düne Helgoland is an endlessly photogenic lighthouse in Germany, and a great spot for travelers and photographers alike. Perched atop a sand dune, the lighthouse is a beautiful, iconic piece of German architecture. Its stark white and black tower stands tall and majestically, silhouetted against the sky. It makes for amazing photos against the backdrop of the spectacular North Sea, and it's lit up at night for a dramatic foreground to the stars and moon. Visitors come for the stunning views of the cliff faces, dark seas and lonely seabirds. Enjoy a peace and solitude only found in vast and wild sea-side locations, and marvel as the traditional building stands against the unfurling waves. If you're lucky - you may even get a glimpse of a pod of dolphins frolicking in the distance.
