The Leipzig Bavarian station is an iconic sight in the city of Leipzig, which has long been a hub for various forms of transportation. Located near the Leipzig zoo, this classic railway station built in 1875, still stands with its style of architecture and special façade. The structure is made up of façades of yellow and red brick and sits on nine pillars that rise above the actual station. Today, the station serves as the terminus for numerous regional and long-distance networks. There is also a large, modern waiting hall where people from all over can meet and pass the time before their train departs. The Bavarian station is also home to many shops and restaurants and is a great place to explore during your visit to Leipzig.
