Le Colorado de Rustrel is a geological phenomenon in Provence, France. It is an area of iron-rich cliff faces which have been naturally eroded away to form a patchwork of multi-colored stripes. The hills range from yellow ochre and rust to terracotta, pinks and reds, creating an incredible contrast with the rolling green of the countryside. The area is popular with hikers and nature lovers as there are plenty of trails and paths to explore, with opportunities to view the flora and fauna of the region. Rustrel is also home to the stunning Provencal architecture, with charming buildings and narrow, cobbled streets to discover. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of spectacular vistas, with panoramic views of the hills, valleys and villages of the region.
