Lauterbrunnen Church, in Lauterbrunnen Switzerland is an impressive Gothic building in the Bernese Oberland valley. Set high up on the hillside and overlooking the village, it adds a beautiful, peaceful touch to the magnificent view of the valley. Its wooden carvings and architecture are mesmerizing and it has remained unaltered since its 14th century construction. There is a vast field of well-kept grass behind the church and the village cemetery is nestled between some of the most breathtaking mountain peaks. Many tourists visit Lauterbrunnen to take in the grandeur of its skyline and some even hike up to the church to take in the stunning panoramic views from its position.
