Låtefossen
📍 Norway
Låtefossen is a dramatic twin waterfall beside Norwegian Scenic Route 13 near Skare, south of Odda in the Hardanger region. Two powerful cascades descend from Lotevatnet and merge near the valley floor, where the road crosses the torrent on a historic stone-arch bridge. The bridge, foaming water, dark rock and dense greenery form the waterfall’s recognizable composition, while wind-driven spray often fills the roadside scene and intensifies during periods of strong flow. Its immediate proximity to the highway creates striking views but leaves limited space around the road and viewing area.
