Las Ventanas and Ruta 68 - El Obelisco, in Las Conchas, Argentina, is a beautiful route that runs through a stunning landscape with ever-changing vegetation. Various sections of the route are lined with red sandstone cliffs, which are breathtaking in the afternoon light, and cacti that dominate the countryside. The area offers ample opportunities for hikes and bird watching, and the views are spectacular. An interesting section is the Obelisco, an anvil-shaped rock surrounded by a number of miniature sandstone spires. The Correcora viewpoint as well as the Volcan Pailas, located at the end of the route, are excellent for getting a good view of the area.
