Initially it was a large steel factory, but the steel industry’s rapid decline in the 1960s left it deserted. The city of Duisburg saw an opportunity to turn the space into something special, and behold: a unique industrial-style park was created. Today, this park hosts many diverse attractions. There is a huge man-made lake, with a beach and an area for water sports. The park also boasts a playground, two zip lines, a rock climbing wall, a giant climbing frame, a fountain, a dancehall and more. A 'capability path' encourages visitors to scout their own routes between the various attractions and points of interest. The old factory’s large halls and towers still stand, providing a fascinating insight into industrial history. This park is perfect for visitors who like nature and exploring. Photographers will have a great time here, discovering ample opportunities to capture unique images both during the day and at night.🗺 MapShow on Map🎫 Tourist attractionsCheck tourist attractions nearby🏨 HostelsCheck hostels nearby🌦 Weather informationGet weather information, and much more, from the app. Download it for free!🚕 How to get there?Get routes information (by car, walking, public transport, etc), and much more, from the app. Download it for free!
