Lake Tovel is situated near the small town of Tovel, in Italy’s Trentino Alto Adige region. This alpine body of water is stunningly clear due to its lack of substantial erosion, providing stunning views of the natural beauty of the area. Its trademark shade of verdant green and turquoise is the result of its uncontaminated mountain water and a particular type of shrimp that lives in the lake. Hiking through the area, visitors can capture grand views of the towering Dolomites alps and the vast meadows of the Natz-Schabs Nature Park. A visit to nearby San Michele Church is also recommended for breathtaking views. The lake and its surroundings are a popular destination among hikers, photographers, and nature lovers. Visitors come here to marvel in the serenity of a protected nature preserve.
