Lake of the Clouds is situated in Buckshot Landing, in the Porcupine Mountains of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the United States. It is one of the most beautiful alpine lakes in the world and is often called the mirror of the sky. It is surrounded by majestic pine forest, rugged cliffs and hiking trails, with the occasional moose sighting for a special treat! From the lake, visitors can get a stunning view of a vast wilderness of the surrounding mountain peaks and the deep blue sky reflected in its crystal clear waters. This lake is perfect for activities such as fishing, canoeing/kayaking, swimming and simply taking in the grandeur of nature. And if you happen to be here in the autumn, you can enjoy the fall colours of the foliage that makes this place so picturesque.
