Nestled in one of the most stunning mountain ranges in Antarctica, Laguna Sucia is an idyllic lake located in El Chaltén, a small town in the Santa Cruz province of Argentina. Known to locals as the "lagoon of clear waters," its turquoise lagoons and snow-capped peaks provide stunning beauty and tremendous photo opportunities. A short hike along the trail of the same name at the edge of the lake will get you up close to the dramatically-covered mountain range and the pristine river that runs through it. Numerous private paths near the lake also lead you to hidden lakes and more incredible landscape shots. An area known for its abundance of wildlife, Laguna Sucia is a haven for local wildlife including birds, guanacos, ostriches, and the Andean condor.
