Lago Nahuel Huapí is located in the La Villa department of the Argentine province of Rio Negro. This large, glacial lake is located in the Patagonian Andes and is considered one of the most beautiful attractions in the region. Surrounded by steep mountains and a stunning view of the volcano Mount Tronador, the lake boasts crystal clear blue waters and is a popular scuba diving and fishing location. A number of Valdivian jungle Ecosystems border the lake, which offer excellent opportunities for nature-loving travelers. In addition, the lake is renowned for its excellent bird watching and a large variety of wildlife, such as beavers and guanacos, can be found in the area.
