Lago Maggiore is a stunning glacial lake located in the north-west of Italy and lies between the Lombardy and Piedmont regions. Pallanza is a town which sits along the shores of Lago Maggiore and is known for its peaceful atmosphere and views of the Alps. Pallanza is surrounded by plenty of historic monuments, including its medieval castle and the gardens of the San Maurizio parish. If you’re looking for the perfect view, make sure to head up to the Piazza Doria and admire the picturesque, panoramic views of the lake. The Bell Tower in the main square is also worth a visit.
