Lagginhorn

Lagginhorn is a prominent 4,010 meter peak in the Saas valley of Switzerland. The peak is part of the Mischabel range, one of the biggest mountain ranges in the Swiss Alps, and is the highest point of its Walliser Fiescherhorn massif. The surrounding area is home to a number of stunning glaciers and is a great spot for hiking and walking. Viewpoints from the Lagginhorn summit offer picture-perfect views of the Bernese, Valais and Pennine Alps, with more than 12,000-meter peaks as far as the eye can see. To reach the summit, you need to take a cable car up to Mittelallalin (3,500m) where the 3-hour walk up to the top starts. The route up to the top is difficult but commonly done in summer months. There are several mountain huts available along the way. Enjoy the beautiful wildflowers in bloom, stunning glaciers and unique landscape up in the alpine meadows!
