La Vache Bay, located in the quaint Maracas Bay Village, is a favourite spot for water sports enthusiasts, especially during two of Trinidad’s national public holidays in June and August. Set against the lush mountainous backdrop of Maracas Valley, the beach is shaped like a crescent and is surrounded by a lush forest of sea grapes and palms. The shallow, sandy, and crystal clear waters also make La Vache a perfect spot for swimming and snorkeling. The north end of the beach has a rugged coastline, adorned with rocky outcrops and a few clusters of casuarina trees - a popular spot for photographers. The north-western side of the beach has many bamboo fishing shacks, adding to the invigorating sight.
