La Pedrera is a stunning modernist building located in the Passeig de Gracia in Barcelona, Spain. It was designed by the great Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi and built between 1906 and circum 1910. It is popularly known due to its undulating stone facade with both curved and right angled blocks, and its iconic roof formed with large ribbed stone slabs. It has a roof terrace where visitors can enjoy the views of Barcelona and learn more about the history behind the building from the permanent exhibition. La Pedrera is also the headquarters of the Fundació Catalunya-La Pedrera. Visitors can enjoy the Grand Hall, the Room of Gaudí and the Espai Gaudí with contemporary exhibitions. Entrance is only allowed with a ticket which can be bought online in advance for a discounted rate.
