La Malinche is a massive forest reserve located in the central Mexican state of Tlaxcala. It is also known as Matlalcueitl, which means "mountain of the young lady". The park covers a vast area of 17,240 hectares, making it the largest single reserve in the Tlaxcala region. La Malinche is known for its impressive pine and oak forests and spectacular views. Visitors can explore a range of trails and attractions, from the 2,400-meter summit where the views are stunning to the ancient Aztec archaeological sites which can be found throughout the park. La Malinche is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including several endangered species like the black bear, Puma, and the monarch butterfly. The park offers a range of outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, horseback riding, and bird watching. The local communities of San Antonio, Santa María and San Miguel Chico in Guadalupe provide traditional cuisine and friendly hospitality.
