Built in 1817, La Farola stands as one of the few Spanish lighthouses with a feminine name. Located at the eastern end of the port, it’s a beloved maritime symbol of Málaga, offering a picturesque background for strolls along the harbor. Visitors appreciate its proximity to La Malagueta Beach and Muelle Uno, where shops and restaurants abound. While not open for public tours, the lighthouse’s surrounding promenade provides excellent views of the sea and city skyline. It’s especially enchanting at sunset, making for memorable photos. At the site, travelers can enjoy panoramic harbor views, watch passing boats, and savor the gentle sea breeze.
